The best Dhaka office commute routes for carpooling
Uttara to Motijheel, Banani to Gulshan, Mirpur to Dhanmondi — the Dhaka office corridors where carpooling works best.

Uttara ⇄ Motijheel
The spine of Dhaka commuting. Thousands of office workers live in Uttara sectors 3–14 and work in Motijheel's commercial hub. Metro Rail helps, but cars are still faster for door-to-door trips. Ideal carpool time: leave Uttara by 7:30am.
Banani ⇄ Gulshan ⇄ Baridhara
This diplomatic / corporate zone has short 2–5km commutes that still take 30+ minutes due to traffic. Short rides make for easy carpools — pool with neighbours who work in the same tower.
Mirpur ⇄ Dhanmondi
Mirpur's residential density plus Dhanmondi's universities and offices make this a reliable carpool corridor. Mirpur-10 and Mirpur-12 especially have strong commute demand.
Mohakhali ⇄ Farmgate ⇄ Kawran Bazar
The media, NGO, and government office belt. Shorter trips, but rush-hour gridlock makes splitting CNG or car fare across three people smart economics.
Gazipur ⇄ Dhaka
Garment factory workers, students at universities in Gazipur, and suburban residents all have reason to commute this 25–40km corridor daily. Long trips = maximum fuel-splitting benefit.
